PROVO — BYU sophomore wide receiver Moroni Laulu-Pututau’s first college game took place last year at Nebraska in front of 89,959 fans at Memorial Stadium in Lincoln.
And Laulu-Pututau was impressed with the noise those fans generated. So imagine his surprise when he was told to expect an even rowdier atmosphere this week.
His teammate, senior wideout Mitchell Juergens, told Laulu-Pututau that Nebraska didn't match the noise in Boise, although Albertsons Stadium seats only 36,387.
“Mitch Juergens told me it’s the loudest place he’s ever played in,” Laulu-Pututau said. “I said, ‘More than Nebraska?’ He said, ‘Louder than Nebraska.
