BYU looking for first victory in Boise

BOISE — BYU has played at Boise State only three times and none of those games have been pleasant experiences.

The Cougars are 0-3 at Albertsons Stadium, dating back to the first meeting in 2004 when Matt Payne's 38-yard field goal attempt sailed wide left in the waning seconds as the Cougars lost 28-27.

In 2012, then-freshman quarterback Taysom Hill entered the game in the fourth quarter and engineered a 95-yard drive and scored the Cougars’ only touchdown on a four-yard run with 3:37 left. That made the score 7-6 for the Broncos.

But instead of trying to tie the game with an extra point, BYU decided to go for a potential game-winning two-point conversion.
