PROVO -- Both the BYU Cougars and Toledo Rockets got off to quick starts in a high scoring first half Friday night at LaVell Edwards Stadium and are tied 21-21 at the break.
Taysom Hill got the scoring going for the Cougars 11 seconds into the game by connecting with Jonah Trinnaman on a 75-yard touchdown pass to put the Cougars up 7-0.
Toledo quickly answered when Terry Swanson ran the ball eight yards into the end zone for the touchdown, tying the game at 7-7.
Jamaal Williams quickly scored two touchdowns for the Cougars to put them up 21-7, but the Rockets scored 14 unanswered points to tie the game going into half.
