McCarthy (1-0, 3.38 ERA) went 5 1/3 innings in his first start of the season, a 15-2 win over the Phillies on March 31. The veteran righty allowed two runs on six hits with five strikeouts and three walks.
Not fazed by traffic (four hits, four walks in five innings), Marquez held the D-backs to one run. He makes the home opener start after going 6-3 with a 4.59 ERA in 13 starts at Coors as a rookie.
