After a quiet start to the 2018 recruiting season, Georgia State is the latest Sun Belt team to come alive on the recruiting trails following three commits this week and another South Carolina transfer.
Wide receiver Christian Owens began his college career at South Carolina after the former three-star received offers from Georgia, Clemson and Tennessee. He redshirted his freshman season and left the team before the 2016 season. The 6’5 pass catcher from Griffin, Georgia wanted to be closer to home and settled on Shawn Elliot’s Panthers.
Owens’ lethal combination of size and speed could give the Panthers a dangerous weapon on offense, possibly immediately.
