After months of speculating who will be named FAU's starting quarterback Charlie Partridge has announced that the competition is over. Redshirt sophomore Jason Driskel will be the starter when FAU takes on Southern Illinois to start the season.
Driskel beat out former three-star prospect, and Dwyer High School standout Daniel Parr. Last year Driskel completed 51 percent of his passes for 965 yards, with three touchdowns and four interceptions.
Against Miami in his collegiate debut, he lead two scoring drives and looked like a gamer. Against Buffalo in his first career start he looked like, well a freshman.
