BRYAN, Texas – The Texas State women's golf team had a solid start in the opening round of the NCAA Regional Thursday afternoon with a team score of 296. The Bobcats are currently sitting in a tie for 10th place in the 18 team field just six strokes back of being in the top six.
"We started off really good today," said head coach Mike Akers. "Through the front nine we were in really great shape and then lost some strokes on our second nine. Overall we're in great position to make a run for the top six.
