UTEP mangles Mean Green, 52-24

If you’re a regular reader of this site, you’ll recall we predicted a huge win for North Texas, 42-10. More so than at any point this season, the ball was dropped the prediction could not have been more wrong.

So what happened?

To put it quite simply, Aaron Jones happened. The running back for the Miners ran all over North Texas on Saturday, and the usually solid Mean Green defense had no answer for him. Jones finished the day with 24 carries and 301 yards. The entire North Texas offense finished with 304.

Earlier in the season, this is what UNT’s Jeffrey Wilson had been doing, their most talented player dashing through opposing defenses with ease.
