Robertson returns
Texas Tech rush end Pete Robertson came back Saturday from a one-game suspension and made a difference. He got credit for two tackles for loss, including a sack, batted a pass and had a quarterback pressure. That came in 2 ½ quarters, and backups played the rest of the way.
“It makes a lot (of difference),” Tech coach Kliff Kingsbury said, “based on his energy, his toughness. He brings some intangibles to the field that are hard to replace.”
Coverage shines
Taylor Symmank and the Texas Tech kickoff coverage team did stellar work against Texas-El Paso’s Autrey Golden, who has six career kickoff-return touchdowns, one short of the FBS record.
