A wind advisory is in effect throughout Connecticut Monday, said the National Weather Service, warning of wind gusts of up to 50 mph that may knock trees into power lines.
The advisory is in effect from 9 a.m. until 6 p.m. Winds will blow at 20-30 mph, with gusts of 45-50 mph. Gusts of 55 mph are possible over higher terrain.
"Gusty winds could blow around unsecured objects, service meteorologists said early Monday. “Tree limbs could be blown down and a few power outages may result.”
There’s also a chance of snow showers this morning and rain showers after that, the weather service said.
