All lanes for eastbound traffic are closed between exits 28-30, according to the state Department of Transportation. The DOT learned of the crash about 1 p.m.
Route 8 south in Beacon Falls also is closed because of another one-car crash. That highway is shut down between exits 24 and 22, the DOT said.
