Seven UConn students — four residential students and three off-campus students — have now tested positive for coronavirus, the university announced Monday afternoon.
UConn began welcoming students back to its campus on Friday, and as part of the reopening process is requiring every student to be tested for COVID-19. Students living on campus are required to be tested as part of the check-in process, while students living off-campus are required to be tested before attending classes. On-campus students are also required to quarantine for 14 days upon returning to campus, regardless of their test results.
So far, four on-campus students have tested positive for COVID-19 through the required check-in testing.
